Refund Policy — milía

Planning a wedding is stressful enough. If milía isn't right for you, getting your money back shouldn't add to it.

The promise: within 14 days of buying a plan, tell us you want out and we refund you — no forms, no interrogation. The only deduction is the real value of what was already used: any SMS invitations you actually sent.

How it works

Email hello@milia.app from your account email within 14 days of payment, saying you'd like a refund. A clear statement is enough — no reason required.
We refund your plan price, minus €0.12 for each SMS credit already spent (the price of our smallest top-up pack — we don't profit from the deduction; text messages cost real money the moment they're sent).
The refund goes back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, normally within 5–10 business days of our confirmation. We confirm within 2 business days.
On refund, the wedding returns to its locked state and any remaining credits lapse.

Upgrades and SMS packs

Upgrades (paying the difference to a higher plan): same promise — 14 days from the upgrade payment, refunding the upgrade amount, minus €0.12 per credit used from the upgrade's SMS allowance. Refunding an upgrade returns you to your previous plan; it never touches your original purchase.
SMS packs: refundable in full within 14 days if untouched; otherwise we refund the unused portion of the pack at its own per-credit price.

After 14 days

The withdrawal window closes, but two things never do: if we get it wrong — a failure on our side that materially prevents you from using what you paid for and that we cannot put right — we will refund fairly, without hiding behind a calendar. And your statutory rights under Cyprus Consumer Protection Law 112(I)/2021 and EU consumer law (including remedies for services not performed with reasonable care) continue to apply in full; this policy adds to them and never subtracts.

The legal footnote, in plain words

EU law (Directive 2011/83/EU, implemented in Cyprus by Law 112(I)/2021) gives you a 14-day right of withdrawal from online purchases. Because your studio opens the instant you pay, at checkout you agree that we start providing the service immediately; the law then allows a deduction for what was consumed before you withdrew. Our SMS deduction is exactly that — nothing more. Delivery receipts and our server ledger are the record of what was sent, and you can see the same numbers in your own studio.
